Moved by Alderman Jones that the petition of L. R.
Hammond for a permit to construct a gasoline filling station and
accessory station on the corner of Tenth and Brook Streets be
received and the City Clerk be instructed to publish notices of
a public hearing to be held at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chamber
in the basement of the City National Bank building on January
aj) 1927; for the purpose of hearing protests.

Moved by Alderman Hunt that the building inspector
be authorized to issue a building permit to Dave Shepherd for the
construction of a one story business building on the rear of Lot
1, Block 9, Austin Survey; better known as Huff Avenue and Clark
Street.

THE CITY ENGINEER AS TO THE COST AND ASSESSMENTS
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BRIDWELL
STREET, FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF ARDATH
STREET TO THE NORTH CURB LINE OF SPEEDWAY, FIX-
ING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A HEARING TO PROPERTY
OWNERS AND OTHERS INTERESTED, AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF, AND PRESCRIB-
ING THE FORM OF SUCH NOTICE.
