The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met 'n
regular called session on the above date with the following members
present:
R. E. Shepherd, Mayor
N. M. Clifford,
P. B. Curd, Aldermen
Oral Jones Q
W. E. McBroom, City Clerk
Moved by Alderman Clifford that the street department be
authorized to buy one Best 10 ton caterpillar tractor at a cost of
$6550.00 less allowance for one old Yuba Tractor amounting to $750.00
provided there is included the following accessories:
1 pressure pump
1set stre-t plates
1 canopy top
1 full set of tools.
Motion seconded by Alderman Curd and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jones that the City Clerk be authorized
to write off the notes signed by James Calvert in the amount of $300.00
due to Mechanical Lien securing payment of These notes 17eing in error.
and the Mayor be authorized to execute a release of the property
erroniously described in the mechanics lien securing payment of these
notes and the City Clerk be further authorized to cancel notes in the
amount of $150.00 and $250.00 , which are worthless on account of not
being secured and the parties being insolvent.
Motion seconded by Alderman Curd and carried.
