Ordinance Appropriating $10,000 To The Special Revenue Fund For
Additional Grant Revenue From The State Of Texas For The Texas
Department Of Transportation Selective Traffic Enforcement
Program (Click It Or Ticket) Wave Grant FY 2012 For Traffic
Enforcement And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All
Documents To Accept Said Funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been invited to participate in a direct
award from the Texas Department of Transportation for the purpose of selective
enforcement; and,
WHEREAS, the primary emphasis will be on the non -use of occupant restraints
(safety belts and child safety seats) during the holiday period; and
WHEREAS, the holiday period will span May 21, 2012 through June 3, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The amount of $10,000.00 is appropriated to the Special Revenue Fund for the
purpose of selective traffic enforcement as authorized in the grant from the Texas
Department of Transportation, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to accept said funds on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
