1. CALL TO ORDER:
John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from March 28, 2019 were put before the Board for approval.
Michael Smith made the motion to approve the minutes and Jessica Traw
seconded the motion.
**Amendment of minutes were corrected to show member Jim Heiman was
absent from meeting on March 28, 2019.

3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
A. PARKS: Terry Points
• Circle Trail Tour this weekend April 27 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Walking, riding 14 miles.
• The water Fails is off now, will be on for circle trail tour.
• New flower bed going in on Seymour Hwy with perennial. Total of 7
beds around town with these flowers
• Video on city web, of the Bluff and Loop 11 trail
• Color change next 2 weeks in flowerbeds around town, summer
flowers come out.
• Express temps working out good for parks.
• Davis Powell with Engineering is retiring, he was a huge part of the
circle trail, project of completion 2020/2021.

B. RECREATION: Scott McGee

60+Zone going strong 80 activities per week
•
Murder Mystery play approximately 176 people attended.
•
Cooking class & diabetic class taking place. in Zone kitchen.
•
Recreation Easter Egg Hunt was at Lucy Park had 500 people to
attend this year
•
Outdoor concert series starts on May 7t' at Weeks Park Pavilion
•
After School Fishing,at South Weeks pond on May 7t', 9"',14th and
16t' Tuesday & Thursday.
•
Spring Fling this weekend at the Ray Clymer building recreation has
a booth.
•
Day camp, swim lesson, summer youth track registration starts
Monday.
Lucy Pool opening with Splash day May 25t', noon to 6:00pm
•
Summer Softball, Kickball & Volleyball registration going on now.
Season starts June.
•
Recreation had 19 teams sign up for Indoor soccer, playing same
time as WF Flyer Indoor Soccer team
•
WF Flyer Soccer team provided soccer jersey for the youth indoor
teams.
•
TAAF Regional Track meet will be held 1n Wichita Falls in July with
over 1,000 entries.
•
Registration for summer softball, kickball and volleyball is underway.

Wichita Falls hosted Flag Football World Tour in April, _

.Hamilton Tennis was taken over by Lifetime Tennis Inc. April ISL
•
Part time summer help will be starting soon for day camps, Lucy
pool, track program,
4. Other Business, Announcements, Comments
• Corps of Engineering has ask no plants be planted on side of dam
• Stephen Garner has stepped down from the Lake Wichita Committee
• "Trail Ends" writing on trail gone
• Lake Wichita filing for a extension with the Parks & Wildlife for one
grant
