The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls
met in regular called session at 4 otclock P. M. on the above
date with the following members present:
R. E. Sehpherd, Mayor
J. H. Patton 4
P. B. Curd 4
Oral Jones 4 Aldermen
Frank Queisser 4
N. M. Clifford 4
W. E. George, City Attorney
T1J. E. McBroom, City Clerk
Moved by Alderman Clifford that the building inspector
be authorized to issue a permit to P. F. Gwynn to erect a business
building adjoining the Seven Gables building located at the corner
of 9th. and Van Buren Streets.
Motion seconded by Alderman Curd and carried.
Moved by Alderman Patton that the Mayor be authorized
to sign the following agreement with the Hamilton -Martin Investment
Company.
Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried.

Gentlemen: --
This letter will serve to confirm our verbal under-
standing with reference to the excavating preparatory to paving
the streets in the -Country Club Estates sub -division of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, within the City limits up to and includ-
ing 18th. Street.
The City of Wichita Falls agrees to pay for this
excavating on the following basis:
You are to let a contract which will cover the
excavating from back of curb line to back of curb line, said
contract to be let on a per cubic yard basis, with 900 foot free
haul. This contract is to be let at the cheapest possible
price, and under no circumstances will the City of Wichita Falls
pay more than the contract price or more than thirty-five cents
per cubic yard.
