January 21, 1926 of tte City of Wichita Fall The Board of Aldermen met in regular called sess?on on the above date with the following present: R. E. Shepherd, Mayor P. B. Curd Oral Jones ¢ Aldermen J. H, Patton r Frank Queisser W. E. McBroom, City Clerk The hearing on application of C. H. Evans for a permit to erect a salad dressing factory at the intR18fiction of Bridwell Street and the Wichita Valley Railway trackwAwas continued from the last begular meeting was opened and formal application for a building permit was filed by Attorneys for Mr. Evans; after which protesting property owners interested entered formal protests through their attorney, Ralph Mathis, and evidence was introduced to show that the proposed factory as now located was not a nuisance and that it would not be a public nuisance at the proposed location and after all interested parties were heard the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman &A-Ao4 that the building inspector be authorized to approve the application of C. H. Evans for a per- mit to construct a brick building at the intersection of Bridwell Street and Wichita Valley Railway tracks, to be used as a salad dressing factory. Motion seconded by Alderman Queisser and carried. Application was filed by Chas. Bialkowski for permit to erect a business building on the triangle located at the intersection of Hays Street and Seymour Road. After discussion it was decided that action be deferred until Monday evening, January 25, 1926. Mechanics Lien RPI P.A RP.-ennA WHEREAS, on February 28, 1925, Fred Nunn for a valuable consideration, transferred to the City of Wichita Falls, a municipal corporation, a promissory note of date December 20, 1924, executed by IV. M. Cone and his wife Malissia J. Cone, to Fred Nunn for.the sum of $60.00 with interst at eight per cent, to be paid in month- ly installments of $5.00 per month from date of said note and one installment each month thereafter until the gull amount was paid; said note being secured by a deed of trust on the following described property, same being Lot No. 1, Cone Subdivision Block 1, J. A. Scott Survey No. 9, City of Wichita Falls in Wichita County, Texas, as shown by the plat of said addition now of record in the office of the County Clerk of Wichita County, Texas; and VfHEREAS, said above described note has been fully paid to the City of Wichita Falls, the legal owner thereof; THEREFORE, it was moved by Alderman Queisser and seconded by Alderman Patton that Mayor R. E. Shepherd, be authorized to execute a release of the above mentioned deed of trust covering the above described property and said motion was carried by the following vote; Yaes; Aldermen Queisser, Patton, Clifford, Jones, Curd Nays; None The Mayor asked to be recorded as voting "Yea" Moved by Alderman Jones that the Mayor be authorized to sign a contact with A. J. McMahan and Associates for the sale of the Bonds issued at election on November 10, 1925. Said contract to provide for the purchase by Mr. McMahan and Associates of the 4575,000.00 w.rth of bonds at par and accrued interest. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. 41 Plans and specifications for the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant viM presented by Montgomery and Ward, Local Engineer's and after examination the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Patton that the plans and specifi- cations presented by Montgomery and WarAfor the construction of a Sewerage Treatment Plant be approved and adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. V 1 Moved b Alderman Patton that the bill of Montgomery and Ward in the amount of 15,917.50 covering cost of preparing plans as per contract be approved and allowed.
