regular session on the above date with the following members present;

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
A complajnt with reference to taxes assessed n Lot 14,
Block 6, Granger and Ballew Addition, used for lodge 'p�irpose. ^from
1925 to 1928, was referred to the City Attorney for investigation.
;.roved by .,.lderman Carter that the application of C. 17. Johnson
to construct a business building in the 2300 block on Brook Avenue be
received and a public hearing set for November 19th, 1928, at 7;30 p. TT.
:otion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried unanimously by
all members present.
;,oved by .,lderman Jones that the Salvation Army be allowed
use of the upstairs of the City Hall Annex for lodging purposes with
gas, lights and water furnished by the City.

all members present.
Tloved by .alderman Hunt that the plat and dedication of „ierle
Heights Addition, being a subdivision of a part of Block 44 of John
Hirschi subdivision of David vbfelch Survey, „icciita County, Texas, be
approved subject to the approval of the said plat by the City Engineer.

all members present.
:_oved by Alderman Hunt that the petition of residents of J. A.
Kemp adaition for fire plugs to be installed in that locality be re-
ferred to the City „lanager.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND ENFORCEMENT
OF ALL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
, moved by Alderman Kunt that urdinance No. 1008 be passed on
its second reading.
notion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried by the following
vote:
,Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Jones, Carter and King.
Nays: None.
ttoved by Alderman Hunt that ordinance No. 1008 be reconsidered
and that the last sentence in Section 8 be amended to read as follows:
"All licenses and permits shall be publicly displayed in
the place of business."

vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Carter, King and Jones.
Nays: None.

,No. 1008 be passed on its second reading in its amended form.

ORDINANCE NO.1009
AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OUT OF THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF CITY REVENUES AT APRIL 1ST, 1928, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1ST,
1928, AND ENDING 14ARCH 31ST, 1929, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that Ordinance No. 1009 be passed on
its first reading.
Motion seconded,by Alderman Carter and carried by the follow-
ing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Carter, King and Jones.
Nays: None.
