The Board of Aldermen of the City of v4ichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
,oved by Alderman; Bones that the following recommendation
of the city attorney be approved, and the list submitted be filed in
the city Clerk's office for future reference:
"I herewith submit a list of personal delinquent taxes
beginning with the year 1921 and up to and including
the year 1926, upon which taxes I recommend that no
suits be filed.
In many cases the amount is too small on which to file
suit, and those cases where the amount would justify
suit, the persons and corporations are not financially
responsible, or else they have left the city and can
not be located. Some have gone into bankruptcy and
others have died leaving no estate out of which the
taxes could be collected.,,
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
roved by Alderman Carter that the personal bond of w. S. Abbott
as City treasurer in the amount of 410,000.00, effective August lst,
1928, be approved.

to file 28 sLLits for collection of delinquent taxes for the year 1926
i and prior thereto.
motion seconded by alderman Jones and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jones that the tax value on the west 50 x
50 feet of Lot 2 in Block 62, rloral heights, be reduced to g150.00
full value for the years 1925, 1926 and 1927.
motion seconded by Alderman Bunt and carried.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE PLACE AND TIME OF THE REGULAR MEETINGS
AND PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF W ICHITA FALLS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
moved by Alderman Jones that urdinance No. 995 be passed on
its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman hunt and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Jones, Hunt, Ling and Patton.
Nays: Alderman Carter.

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON, F IRK OR CORPORATION
FROM SETTING OFF DYNAMITE OR ANY OTHER EXPLOSIVE WITHIN THE CITY LIHITS
OF THE CITY OF W ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WITHOUT FIRST PROCURING A PERMIT
FROM THE CITY ENGINEER, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY .

its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman hunt and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Jones, hunt, Patton, Ling and Garter.
