The Board of Aldermen of tiie City of wichita Fails met in regular session on the above date with the following members present; J. W. Axin, Mayor, J. w. Hunt, Oral Jones, J. H. Patton, Roy E. Carter, 0 0 Aldermen, 0 G. D. Fairtrace,.City Manager, W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Tnelbert Martin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting; were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the, matter of purchaseaof 3 feet additional space adjoining Mrs. Tumulty's lot in hiverside Cemetery presented by W. M. Frank be referred to the City Manager with authority to act. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Carter that the complaint or H. Dulaney with reference. to the nuisance created by the presence of non-resident negroes in the vicinity of 2ulU Eighth Street be referred to the City Planning and 'zoning Commission for consideration. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the City Attorney oe authorized to rile 72 suits for collection of delinquent taxes for the year 1926 and prior thereto. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. ljoved by Alderman Curter that the tax value on 6 acres owned by Mr. Short in J. A. Scott Survey Igo. OU2 be reduced to ;6UU.UU per acre for the years 1925, 1926 and 1927, and the taxes on over valuation be remitted. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the tax records be corrected in stating the description of Lots 1 to 8, Block 1, :ueaton and Waggoner Subdivision as Lots 1 and 8, and tnat the taxes on Lots 2 to 7 erro- neously placed on the unrendered roll be cancelled for the year 1927. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. i ®3 Moved by Alderman Garter tnat the City Attorney be instructed to draft an amendment to Traffic Ordinance No. 95b to allow business cars and trucks to parvx in the alleys for a period not exceeding 3U minutes, it engaged in actual business operation. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Carter tnat permit granted on April 26th,, 1926, to the Contractors and owners of the Hamilton Building for the use of the street and sidewalks durici the construction of said building be cancelled. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. A petition for sidewalks on Grant street inru the 2dUU blocx and for street lights at the intersection of Kemp Boulevard and AvenuB R was referred to the City Tanager. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the ,layor be autnorized to deed I DUCK to Dr. S. D. Bullington a tract of land in Blmwood Addition con- veyed to the City for a parr. Tne consideration of said conveyance to be 410.UU. Motion seconded by Aloerman Patton and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt tnat the meeting be adjourned.
