The Board of Aldermen of the City of �iichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: J. W. Akin, ,ayor J. H. Patton, Q Oral Jones, Q Roy E. Carter, Q Aldermen, A. W. King, Q G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager, 17. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney. The Liinutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Hubert m. Harrison, Manager of the Chamber of Commerce, ap- peared before the Board in the interest of City Planning and Zoning. After discussion the following motion was put in order. Moved by Alderman Jones that the rollowing citizens be ap- pointed as a Commission to study the problem of City Planning and Zoning and to make recommendations to the Board for future action. W. S. A complaint was filed by the Womans Forum with reference to the booking of attractions by 1"'. B. ward for the Memorial Auditorium and after a hearing was conducted, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman King that the Board of Aldermen suggest to the City Manager that the Building manager be instructed to discontinue booking attractions for the Memorial Auditorium and that he sever all connections with booking bureaus whereby he would benefit personally, either directly or indirectly. .,lotion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried. 11191- ORDINANCE NO. 982 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 (1) OF ORDINANCE NO. 558, PASSED AND APPROVED ON AUGUST 1UTH, 1925, SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE DEFINING MILK AND CERTAIN MILK PRODUCTS, PROHIBITING THE SALE OF ADULTERATED AND MISBRANDED MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS, ETC. Moved by hlderman Ling that urdinance ivo. 982 be passed on its second reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen king, Patton, Carter and Jones. Nays: None. ORDINANCE NO. 986 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION FROM ENGAGING IN THE BUSINESS OF ITINERANT VENDOR WITHOUT FIRST HAVING OBTAINED A LICENSE, DEFINING THE WORD "ITINERANT VENDOR", FIXING A LICENSE FEE, REQUIRING A BOND FROM SUCH PERSONS, AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY. moved by Alderman Ling that urdinance No. 986 be passed on its second reading. motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas;.. Aldermen Ling, Jones, vatton and Carter. Nays: None. The hearing with reference to closing a 50 ft. roadway on the North side of the River near the plant of the Panhandle Refining Company, was called and after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in order. moved by ,alderman Ling that the hearing be closed. Moved by Alderman Carter that ordinance No. 988 be passed on its first reading. motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried by the rol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Carter, Patton, king and bones. Nays: None. 192 loved by Alderman &ing that the City Attorney be instructed to draft an ordinance amending Urdinanoe No. 939 providing for a cash de- posit on contracts for rental of the Auditorium and that said contracts be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
