W hitham & Company in the amount of �10,800.00 be released with the understanding that new deposits be made before any construction work is started by L. E. lihitham & Co. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 976 AN ORDINANCE ALENDING PARAGRAPH (a) OF SECTION 36, OF ORDINANCE NO. 958, Or THE CITY OF G;ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, PASSED AND APPROVED ON NOVE1.2ER 28TH, 1927, BEING ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC UPOiT THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF l',ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; REGULATING THE USE OF SUCH STREETS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PRO- VIDING PENALTIES". Nays: None. .'loved by Alderman Jones that the Crater Department be authorized to charge off bad and uncollectable accounts covering the period November 1st, 1920, to April 60t h, 1928, in the amount of ;"z2,818.26, and take credit for unapplied deposits to the amount of w1,121.90, making a net loss on bad accounts of .,,1,696.36. Hotion seconded by _'lderman Patton and carried. I9 I-oved by Alderman Jones that the tax valuation on the building and lot owned by the Womans Forum in the County Club Estates by set at 200.00 for the year 1928. ISotion seconded by Alderman Bunt and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Jones, Hunt and Patton. Nays: Alderman Carter. Moved by :,lderman Hunt that the City Attorney be authorized to file suit on 44 pieces of real estate for collection of delinquent taxes due for the year 1926 and prior years. Motion seconded by alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by .".lderman Carter and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
