The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Carter that Alderman Jones be appointed
Mayor Pro-tem to act during the absence from the City of PIayor
J. VI. Akin.
Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried by the fol-
lowing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Carter, Patton, King and Hunt.
Nays: None.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and a.pprobed.
Moved by Alderman Patton that the Water Department be author-
ized and instructed to give P. B. Cox credit for 0802.00, which represents
the coat of a sewer line built. by Mr. Cox in 1922 on Santa Fe Avenue
to serve his residence. The cost of said line being paid in full by
P. B. Cox.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
Roved by Alderman Hunt that the tax valuation on Lot 7,
Block 13, Southland Addition, for the year 1926 be reduced by one-
half on account of this property being, transferred to the Episcopal
Church in the middle of the year.

construct a concrete drive across the sidewalk at 817 Ohio Avenue to
be used as an entrance to a Bus Station.

to construct and operate a Hamburger and Cold Drink stand at 311 Burnett
Street.

to the paving of North Fifth Street from Grand Avenue to Brook Street
be cancelled and annulled.

Moved by Alderman :,unt that the Fire Chief be authorized to
issue a permit to E. H. Blanton for the construction of a gasoline
storage tank on the railroad right of way across the alley from the
Bradford Supply Company business house at 601 Ohio Avenue.

authorized to construct 500 ft. of a in. galvanized water line on
Miller Street from Holliday Street Nest to provide service for 8
houses at an approximate cost of �175.00.

draw warrants on the General Fund in the amount of X3,202.50 to cover
labor and equipment furnished by the Street Department in grading the
Auditorium grounds. This being necessary on account of the Street
Funds being exhausted.

Johnson, City '.Manager of Austin, Texas, covering his trip to Wichita
Falls at the invitation of the IvTayor and Alderman Jones in the amount

ized to rent the tillable land North of the Disposal Plant to Frank
Dorsey for the planting of cotton for the year 1928 on the basis of
one-fourth of cotton raised as rental. Dorsey to furnish all labor,
teams and supplies.

'_HEREAS, no appropriation has been made for the operation of
the CitY Government for the fiscal year beginning April lst, 1928, and
ending '..:arch 31st, 1929, and it is necessary that certain emergency
expenses be paid prior to the approval of the annual budget and passage
of an annual appropriation ordinance,

personal property of the N. 0. Nelson Manufacturing Company for the
year 1926, the taxable value of said property be reduced to �9,000.00
and taxes on over valuation be remitted.
