The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present;

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
moved by Alderman Jones that the final estimate of Z. G.
Benson covering construction of driveway at the rear of the Auditorium
in the amount of $483.14 be approved and allowed.
Motion seconded by Alderman King and carried.
IrIoved by Alderman Jones that the final estimate of L. H. Lyon
in the amount of �96.48 covering balance due for the construction of
sidewalks in front of the Memorial Auditorium be approved and allowed.
Motion seconded by Alderman King and carried.
Moved by Alderman Curd that the Mayor be authorized to exe-
cute a release of tax judgment to clear title to the South 200 feet
of Lots C and D, Bullington Subdivision of Kemp's West End Addition.
All taxes, interest and costs having been paid.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jones that C. M. Goodwin be appointed
Assistant Judge to serve at the I4. J. Bashara Garage in the City
Election to be held on April Ord. This appointment being necessary
on account of C. Y. Tully being unable to serve.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 973
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON FROM SKATING UPON ROLLER SKATES
UPON THE STREETS AND ALLEYS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS;
PROVIDING A PENALTY AND CREATING AN EMERGENCY.

Moved by Alderman Carter that Ordinance No. 973 be passed
on its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and failed to carry by the
following vote:
Yeas: Alderman Carter and Jones.
Nays: Aldermen Hunt, King and Curd.
The hearing with reference to the construction of a sheet
iron business building by Mrs. E. H. Breaux on Lot 12, Block 33,
Scotland Addition was called, and after hearing the protests of
J. W. Dorsey, J. 0. Ozment, J. A. Thomas, Chas. Thompson, 0. G. Rankin
and James King, the following motion was put in order.
Moved by Alderman Curd that the hearing be continued until
7:30 P. M. April 9th, 1928.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 971
ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 950. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE
ORDINANCE PASSED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
ON OCT. 11, 1927, WITH REGARD TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF
WILSON STREET FROI:' THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF IvARSHALL STREET TO THE
CENTER LINE OF BRIDWELL STREET, IN SAID CITY, REMOVING THE CLOUD CAST
BY SAID ORDINANCE AGAINST PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON SAID PORTION OF SAID
STREET AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

ORDINANCE PASSED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
ON 11,1AY 2ND, 1927, WITH REGARD TO THE II,1PROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF
MARSHALL STREET FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF WILSON STREET TO THE
NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF KEELER STREET, IN SAID CITY, REMOVING THE CLUUD
CAST BY SAID ORDINANCE AGAINST PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON SAID PORTION OF
SAID STREET AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
