The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular called session at 11:30 A. M. on the above date with the
following members present:

ORDINANCE NO. 970
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 900 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE MAKING
APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1ST, 1927, AND ENDING MARCH 31ST, 1928, AND DE-
CLARING Z EMERGENCY; PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER:IEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ON THE 2ND DAY OF MAY, 1927.1-
Moved by Alderman Carter that Ordinance No. 970 be passed on
its second reading.

Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried by the following
Yeas: Aldermen Jones, Hunt, Curd, King and Carter.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Curd that the mayor be authorized to settle
the death claim of I;Qrs. Mary Brown by payment of an amount not exceeding
$3,063.25.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jones that the City Treasurer be authorized
to purchase from the State Trust Company Hospital bonds Nos. 19 to 30
in the amount of $6,000. by payment of the principal and accrued
interest and a premium of $25.00. These bonds to be included in the
refunding contract with Geo. L. Simpson & Company.
Motion seconded by Alderman Curd and carried.
