The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: R. E. Shepherd, Mayor, Oral Jones, Q J . 'w . Hunt, Q P. B. Curd, Q "Idermen, Roy E. Carter, Q !. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert T.Rartin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and aiproved. Nays: None. q28'7 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER AND CITY CLERK TO GIVE WRITTEN NOTICE OF REDEMPTION OF CERTAIN BONDS OUTSTANDING _�GAI=1ST THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS. WHEREAS, the following bonds of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, have been heretofore issued and are now outstanding obligations of said City: (a) CITY OF WICHITA FALLS STREET IMPROVEMEENT BONDS; dated April 10, 1910; due forty years from their date, but redeemable at the option of the City at any time after ten years from their date; bearing 5� interest; being for the total principal sum of 4 17,500.00, and of which amount there is now outstanding and unpaid the sum of �3,500.00; both principal and interest being payable at the office of the City Treasurer, in Wichita Falls, Texas; being Bond Numbers 29 to 35, in- clusive; (b) CITY O!' That the 15th day of I.1ay, 1928, is hereby fixed as tree date of redemption of said Wichita Falls Street Bonds, dated November 15, 1912, amount outstanding THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS (43,000.00). II. That the 15th day of I.Iay, 1928, is hereby fixed as the date of redemption of City of ';ichita Falls Sewer Bonds, dated November 15, 1912, and of which series TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS (,�u,500.00) is now outstanding. That the 15th day of February, 1928, is hereby fixed as the date of redemption of City of Wichita Falls Fire Station Bonds, dated P:ugust 15, 1914, and of which series THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOL- LARS ($;�,500.00) is now outstanding. IV. That the 15th day of February, 1928, is hereby fixed as the date of redemption of City of '„ichita Falls Park Bonds, dated August lb, 1914, and of which series TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS (410,000.00) is now outstanding. That the City Treasurer and the City Clerk of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, are hereby authorized, ordered and directed to jointly issue and execute proper notice in writing in conformity with the proceedings authorizing the issuance of each of the series of out- standing bonds, to the effect that the City of Wichita Falls has called in for redemption the outstanding bonds of each series, and which said outstanding bonds are hereinabove described; and which said notice shall be substantially as follows, to -wit: ;Q89 TO, City of Wichita Falls, Texas. 1928. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, by resolution duly adopted by its Board of „ldermen, on the 13th day of February, 1928, of record in Book , page et seq., of the Minutes of said Hoard, has called in�or redem�on the following series of bonds: (Here insert description of bonds as described in the resolution). THAT T=_E DATE fixed in said resolution for redeeming said bonds is the day of , 1928, and you are hereby, notified that nihe event said bonds, or any of them, are not then presented for redemption, they shall cease to bear interest from and after the date so fixed for their redemption. THIS NOTICE is issued and given pursuant to the aforesaid resolution of the Board of :`.ldermen, and in accordance with recitals and provisions in each bond of the series hereinabove described. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ANZ ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: The fact that it is to the best interest of the City that the bonds hereinabove described be redeemed at the earliest possible date, create an emergency and it is therefore ordered that any rule requiring resolutions and orders to be read at more than one meeting of the Board shall be, and the same is hereby, suspended, and that this resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage and approval.
