The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
in regular session on the above date with the following members
present:

The Einutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the request of J. Y. Mcquigg
for a permit to construct an electrical sign on his building at the
corner of Fifteenth and Holliday Streets be referred to Fire Chief
J. L. McClure, City Engineer F. M. Rugeley, and Police Uommissioner
Roy E. Carter.
Motion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried.
Moved by Alderman Curd that the lioore-Richolt Lumber Company
be permitted to construct a concrete platform and sidewalk three feet
above the present sidewalk grade, 16 feet in length, at 1306 Indiana
Avenue.
Motion seconded by Alderman King and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Uurd, ping, Hunt and Jones.
Hays: ,Iderman Carter.
oved by alderman Jones that the tax valuation on building
owned by L. R. Sproles at 1900 Pearl Street be reduced 4400.00 for
the year 1927.

Hoved by Alderman Jones that the tax valuation on Lot 2
Block 9 Homeward Heights be reduced from 41,110.00 to 0800.00 assessed
value for the year 1927.

Moved by Alderman Carter that the tax valuation on building
located on Lot 13 Block 6 Sunset Heights Addition be reduced to 44,000.
full value for the year 1947.

Bids for constructing sidewalks in front of the auditorium
building on Seventh Street were opened and considered.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the contract for constructing side-
walks on Seventh Street to serve the municipal auditorium be awarded to
L. H. Lyon on his bid of 15z¢ per square foot for approximately 6,228
square feet.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried.
iuioved by Alderman Jones that L. C. Taylor be awarded the con-
tract to furnish 49 fire extinguishers to the auditorium building on his
bid of 06.60 each less 2yo for cash in ten days for 1 quart Fire Fighters
installed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried.
1Ioved by Alderman Carter that the Mayor be authorized to
execute notes to cover office furniture furnished the 1,1emorial :,uditorium
building as follows:
Railey Printing Co. 2 notes due Jan. 1, 1929, 01,368.25
Johnson Chair Co. 1 note due Jan. 24, 1929, 367.11
bearing interest at the rate of 6�o per annum.

Ioved by Alderman King that the tax valuation on the unfinished
building on Lot 2 Block 17 Country Club Estates owned by F. P. Timberlake
be reduced from 428,000. to $8,400. for the year 1927. This reduction
being due to over -estimate of material in building on Jan. 1, 1927.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried.
Moved by Alderman Carter that the mayor be authorized to
execute an easement to Wichita County for a roadway thru the land owned
by the Sewer Department near the sewage disposal plant site.
L4otion seconded by Alderman Curd and carried.
Moved by Alderman King that the Mayor be authorized to enter
into contract with Chas. Swenson for the purchase of 4 acres of land
west of Riverside Cemetery for a consideration of 41,750.00 to be used
for the purpose of locating the City Barns which are to be moved from
the present location at Seventh and Holliday Streets.
Motion seconded by _.lderman Hunt and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jones that the following described out-
standing bonds be called for redemption upon the next interest paying
date due to 10 year option having expired:
