The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present J. W . Akin, Maycar, , J. W. Hunt , I C. E. McCutchen, I J. M. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the Mayor appoint a com- mittee composed of two members of the Board of Aldermen and the City Manager to investigate the offer of the Wichita Sand and Cravel Com- pany, represented by J. E. Duncan, to transfer their gravel pits and properties located on the Wichita River to the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. The Mayor then appointed C. E. McCutchen, T. w. Hunt and G. D. Fairtrace as a committee to make the investigation end report back to the Board of Aldermen, ' The Board of Equalization consisting of J. T. Young, T. Ali. Baber and Roscoe Staton was called in to sit with the Board of Alder- men in hearing a complaint o property owners on Ohio Avenue, re- presented by J. L. Jackson, with reference to the taxable values placed on the Ohio Avenue property for the year 1929. . After a thorough discussion and comparison of values be- tween property on Ohio Avenue, Indiana Avenue and other business streets, the Board of Equalization voted unanimously to make no change in the values of property on Ohio Avenue as equalized in their former sessions during the summer of 1929. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the Board of Aldermen sustain the action of the Equalization Board in fixing values on Ohio Avenue property for the year 1929, Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. 1 Moved by Alderman Hunt that to City Manager be authorized to approve the plans and specifications for a proposed slaughter house or abattoir to be built by Fred Ebner on the C. P. Fore property on the Charlie Road just outside the city limits. Motion seconded by Alderman McCut Chen an.d carried, Moved by ,Alder m n Patton that the meeting be adjourned.
