The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved,
i..�oved by Alderman Patton that the City Attorney be instructed
to give this Board his opinion as to the law in the claim of H. L.
Robinson for personal injuries, are: report to the next meeting; to be
held on Monday evening, October 14th.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
Moved by Alderman Patton that the City Electrical Inspector
be a llovved to attend a National Electrical Inspectors' Convention at
Atlanta, Ga., on October 12th with an expense allowance of 138.62 .

Moved by Alderman Funt that the City Treasurer be instructed
to transfer the sum of $50, 000.00 from the Water Fund to the following
f ands:
Water Bond Interest Fund No. 1 $151000.00

be signed by the Mayor be adopted and approved.

R_R 0 C L AM A T I O N
WHEREAS, 1929 marks the 50 th anniversary of the perfection of
the incandescent lamp by Thomas A. Edison, and
tWHEREAS, this invention and subsequent ones in the field, have
influenced the whole course of the Nation's life, proving a boon to man-
kind and a major factor in the progress of American both socially and
economically, and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that this fact be celebrated by a grate-
ful people who have reaped the benefit of this invention, and
VVTEREAS, it is fitting that tribute be p eid to the man res-non-
sible for the invention, and
WBEREAS, a Light's Golden Jubilee is bei rg sponsored by the
Edison Pioneers, a group of Edison's friends and associates, and a nation-
wide co.ittee of distinguished men and women headed by President Herbert
Hoover, and
WHEREAS, October 21st has been set aside as the date for the
final celebration of this Light's Golden Jubilee,
THEREFORE, I, J. W. Akin, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls,
do hereby set aside and proclaim October 21st, 1929, as the time for
official celebrations of Light's Golden Jubilee, and do call upon all
citizens to cooperate to make it a fitting and memorable occasion.

draft an ordinance providing for a rebate of $111.01 to the Master
Plumbers who have paid a renewal license f ee of a'�50.00 . Y I

include in a special appropriation ordinance the sum of 2,700.00 which
has been heretofore approved f cr repairs to the -plumbing and refrigeration
