The following report of the Commission in the H. L. Robinson
aas:e was received.
September 23, 1929
The Board of Aldermen,
City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Gentlemen:
In accordance with your instructions we have this day heard
the evidence with reference to the claim of H. L. Robinson against
the City, and we have determined that under the laws in force prior
to the adoption of the present City Charter the City would not be
liable for damages on account of the alleged injury to H. L. Robinson.
We do feel however that in view of his long service to the
City, his small wage while working, and his present deplorable con-
dition, that the City make some provision for him and recommend that
he be given the sum of $1, 000.00 if that may legally be done in the
light of our finding set out in paragraph one hereof .
Respectfully submitted, 1
w . M . McGregor,
Dr. J . B . Casey,
Raymond M . Myers,
