Min 09/16/1929'2 Wichita Falls, Texas., Memorial Auditorium Bui ld ing , September 16th, 1929. The Board of Aldermen of the Citv of Wichita Falls met in to regular session on the above date with the following members pre sent : J. W. Hunt, J. M. Spoonts, R. 0. Harvey, Aldermen, C. E. McCut then, G. D. Fair trac e , City Mana ger , W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Alderman Harvey be elected Mayor Protem to serve during the absence from the City of Yayor T. W. Akin. ing vote: Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried by the follow - Yeas: Aldermen Spoonts, Hunt and McCutchen. Nays: None. Mayor Pro tern Harvey then took ch sr ge cf the meeting, The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman McCut ch en that the request of the committee from the Wichita Falls Zoological Society with reference to the City assuming the indebtendess of approximately 82,600.00 against the animals purchased by the Society for the Scotland Park Zoo be re- ceived and held over until the next meeting for further consideration. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried, Moved by Alderman Hunt that Eps ie Williams be granted a permit to construct and operate a drive --in filling station on Lot 16, Block 11, Homewood Hei ght s Addition. Motion seconded by Alderman McCut chen and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Fred Carter be granted a special permit for the construction of a metal awning at 1100 Ohio Avenue with the and er st and i rag that said awning be removed by said Fred Carter at any time it is so ordered by the Board of Aldermen. Robinson filed on September 14th, 1929. Said hearing to be held in accordance with Section 139 of the City Charter, I Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. A. Roberson, Motorcycle Officer, who was injured in line of duty on July 9th, be approved and allowed out cf the General Fund.
