McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney, The Minutes of the previous me eti ng were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Mrs. Ada Good be granted a permit to construct and operate a small grocery store in the rear of House No, 1510 Bluff Street. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. Moved by Aldermen Harvey that the application of Mrs. C. Montgomery fcr a quit claim deed to clear title as to delinquent taxes on Lots 1 to 9, Block 59, Original Townsite, be referred to the City Manager,, and the Mayor be authorized to execute such a deed, if the City Manager reports that all taxes are paid, Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried, Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the personal injury claim b of H. L. Robinson filed by his attorney, E. W, Napier, for alleged damages be referred to the City Attorney for investigation and report at the next meeting, Motion seconded by Ald erma n Spoonts and carried. ORDINANCE NO 1028 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF AN ELECTION IN THE CITY OF WI CHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY, WHO ARE PROPERTY TAX PAYERS THERE- IN, A PROPOSITION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF SAID CITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $19400, 000.00 0 FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT IM- Y PRO VENiENTS AND EXTENSIONS TO THE PRESENT SYSTEM OF WATERWORKS TO PRO- VIDE AN ADEQUATE AND AVAILABLE WATEP SUPPLY AND PLANT FOR SAID CITY, AND LEVYING A TAX ON ALL TAXABLE PROP TY IN SAID CITY TO PAY THE j PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST OF SAID BONDS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman McCut chen that Ordinance No. 1028 be tabled indefinitely. Moved by Alderman McCut chen that the Tax Collector be authorized Im and instructed to accept a check of Mrs. J. C. Berney in full payment of taxes assessed against Lot 14, Block 21, Floral Heights Addition, for the year 1928 on account of clerical error in the Tax Department. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried, Moved by Alderman Harvey that the City Attorney be instructed to draft an ordinance making appropriation for operation and improvements at the Municipal Airport for period August is t, 1929, to March 31, 19309 using the estimates submitted by the City Manager, Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
