The B oar d of Ald erm en of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved,
Bids for contract to construct an embankment abutting the
Scott Street river bridge were opened and considered.
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the only bid received, being
from Coombs & Glade, be referred to the City Manager with aut hor ity
to execute contract if he is satisfied that the proposal is for the
best interest of the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
ORDINANCE NO 1028
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF AN ELECTION IN
THE CITY OF W I CH IT A FALLS, TEXAS, F 0 R If 3 E PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO
THE QUALIFIED VO TER S OF SAID CITY, WHO ARE PRO PER TY TAX PAYERS THE RE -
IN, A PROPOSITION FOR THE ISSU.NCE OF BONDS OF SAID CITY IN THE
AMOUNT CF $l, 400, 000.00, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING FUNDS TO CON-
STRUCT IMPROVEMENTS AMID EXTENSIONS TO THE PRESENT` SYSTEK OF WATER-
WORKS TO PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE AND AVAILABLE STATER SUPPLY AMID PIANT
FOR SAID CITY , AND LEVYING A TAX ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN SAID
CITY TO PAY TEE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST OF SAID BONDS, AND DECLARING
AN AGENCY
The ordinance was read in full by the City Clerk.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that action on Ordinal ce No.
1028 be postponed until the next regular meeting to be held on
Sept emb er 9th, 19290
Motion seconded by Alderman Patton ani carried,
Moved by Alderman Patton that the meeting be adjourned,,
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried,
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
