Akin, Mayor, ..,r J. M, Spoonts, C. E. McCutchen, J. H. Patton, Aldermen, J. W, Hunt, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager,, W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thel.becrt Martin, City Attorney, The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and Epp roved. Action on final pas sege of Ordi nano e 7o. 1027 was delayed by the following motion: Moved by Alderman McCut ch en that the passage of Ordinance No. 1027 on its third and final reading be postponed until the next regular meeting to be held August 19th , 1927. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. Moved by Alderman McCut Chen that the City Treasurer be in- struced to transfer the sum of q25, 000, from the "sister Fund to the General Fund. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. d The Mayor presented for action of the Board the following Ordinance entitled: ORDINANCE NO.1028 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDINC7 FOR THE HOLDING OF An ELECTION IN THE CITY OF Val I CHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY, WHO ARE PROPERTY TAX PAYERS THERE- IN, A PROPOSITION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF SAID CITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1, 400, 000 0000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING FUNDS TO CON- STRUCT IMPROV IEMENT S AND EXTENSIONS TO THE PR ESEN7T SYSTIM OF WATER- WORKS TO PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE AND AVAILABLE TATER SUPPLY AMID PLAN F 0 R SAID CITY, AND LEVYING A. TAX ON ALL T A.XA3LE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL AMID INTEREST OF SAID BONDS, AMD DECLARING AN 19JERGENCY. t The ordinance was read in full by the City Clerk. Moved by Alderman hunt that Ordinance No. 1028 be passed on its f irst reading, Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Spoonts, McCut chen and Patten. Nays: None . Moved by Alderman McCut chen that the meeting be adjourned. I::otion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
