The Board of Aldermen cf the City of Wichita Fells met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the following resolution
be adopted,
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the fol-
lowing vote:

RESOLUI` I ON
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CANCELIATION OF THE PLAT OF THE
RO HATCH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WI CHITA FALLS, AND CL OSI T-G THE STREETS
AND ALLEYS IN SAID ADDITION.
HEREAS, there has heretofore been filed in the County
Clerk's office of Wichita County, Texas, a plat of what was called
The Rohatch Addi ti on to the City of Wichita Falls; and,
WFIEREAS, the streets and alloys as shown in said plat have
never been opened or used by the public; and,
WnREAS, C. D. Shamburger is the present owner of all the
land comprising the said Rohatch Addition and has heretofore cancelled
said subdivision by ins trunent in writing and has requested the Board
of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls to approve such cancellation
and to close the streets and alleys in said Addition; and,
WHEREAS, after due consideration and investigation the Board
of Aldermen are of the opinion that it is to the best interest of the
owner of said property that said subdivision be cancelled and that the
rights of the public will not be affected thereby;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WI CH ITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the act of C. D. Sheomburger in cancelling
the plat of the Rohatch Addition to the City of Wichita Falls as
evidenced by instrument in writing dated the 8th day of July, A. D.
1929, be, and the same is hereby approved.

SECTION 2 : That the streets and alleys shown on said plat of
said Rohatch Addition, be, and the same are hereby closed and abandoned
except that the Cite of Wichita Falls retains an easement in, across and
through said streets and alleys for the purpose of laying, constructing
and maintaining all character of public utility lines, it b ei nag under-
stood that such lines will be laid in such a manner as to not interfere
with the use of said property by the said property owner, his heirs and
assigns,
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15 th day of July, A. D. 1929.
Moved by Alderman McCut c hen that the City Clerk be instructed to
advertise for bids for the city depository for the year beginning August
1st, 1929, and ending July 31 st, 1930. Said bids to be received at the
office of the City Clerk until 7 :30 P. M. July 29 th, 1929.

Moved by Alderman Hunt that the City Clerk be instructed to
advertise for bids for legal publieations�cr the year beginning August
1st, 1929, and ending July 31st, 1930. Said bids to be received until
7 : 30 P. M. July 29th, 1929 .

ORDINANCE NO 1025
AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OUT OF THE UN-
APPR OPRI ATED B AIANC E OF CITY REV S AT APR IL 1ST, 19299 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF MAINTAINING AND OPERATING THE CITY GOVERMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BE-
GINNING APRI L 1ST, 1929, AND ENDING MARCH 31ST, 1930, and DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Harvey that Ordinance No. 1025 be passed on
its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Harvey, Hunt, Spoonts ani McCut then.
Nays.* None.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGES IN SALARIES OF CERTAIN
CITY IMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE JULY t,1929 .
! WBEREAS, one salary allowance cif $210.00 per month has
been eliminated from the pay roll of the Water Department and it
is the desire of the City Manager that salaries be raised to the
amount of $40.00 per month in the Water Department and $15.00 per
month in the Police Department,
THEREF ORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and in-
structed to transfer the sum of $135.00 from the Water Department
Account 70 A-2 to Account 74 A-2 to cover an increase in the salary
of the storekeeper in the Water Department from $160.00 to $175.00
per month, eff ect ived July 1, 1929, which increase in salary is
hereby approved.
The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
transfer the sum cf $225.00 f rom Wateac Department Account 70 A-2 to
Account 75 A-3 to cover an increase in the salary of the Filtration
9 Plant Superintendent from $150.00 to $175.00 per month, which in-
crease is hereby approved, effective July 1, 19290
SECTION 2: A decrease in the salary of $15.00 per month
to be paid the Traffic Captain in the Police Department and an in-
crease of $5.00 per month in the salary of the Traffic Sergeant and
$10.00 per month in the salary cr identification bureau operator
are hereby authorized and approved.

Moved by Alderman Hunt that the City Clerk be authorized
to issue a license to M. S. Dalzell far the operation of a public
domino parlor at 702 Scott Avenue .
Motion seconded by Aldermen McCutchen and carried.
Moved by Alderman McCut then that the,'Pity Manager be re-
quested to investigate the claim for damage to4hot water heater
filed by Dr. w. W, Swartz, et al, and report back to the Council
at the next meeting.
