The Minutes of the previous
meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman -Hunt that C. F. Kollman be granted a per-
mit to construct and operate a filling station on Lot 1, Block A,
Spivey Addition, being House No. 1900 Holliday Street,
Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried.
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the taxable value on Lot 11,
Block 16 A, Highland Addition, be reda ced to $600.00 for the years
19269 1927 and 19281, and the taxes on over valuation be remitted,
Motion seconded by Aldermen Harvey and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that ArthurWilson be granted a per-
mit to construct and operate a business house on the Southwest corner
of Ninth and Grace Streets, being Lot 1 of Maer Subdivision of Block
260, Original Townsite.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried,
Moved by Alderman Harvey that the City Manager be authorized
to place sufficient dirt on the lots owned by T. A. Hicks and Mrs. .T. J.
Lory at the earner of Polk Street and Avenue E to pro tect them from
water overflow, provided the buildings on these lots are raised ' by the
property owners.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts a ni carried,

AN ORDINANCE Al-EM ING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 241, PASSED
ANT APPROVED ON THE 1ST DAY OF MARCh, A. D. 1917 ; SUCH AMENDMENT PROVIDING
THAT SECTIONS 4 AM 59 OF SAID ORD INATC E fA LL NOT APPLY TO WHOLESALE
DEALERS IN PRODUCE, FRUITS, AND VEGETABLES, WHERE SAME ARE CON['AINED IN
UNOPEN CRATES, BASKETS, ETC. AND WHEN SUCH PRODUCE IS BEING DELIVERED.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that Ordinance No. 1022 be passed on its
third and final reading and be adopted as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Spoonts, Patton and Harvey.
Nays: None.
Moved by Aldermen Patton that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carri ed.
