Moved by Alderman Hunt that the ap pl is ati on of E. E. James
� for employment on account at a personal injury sustained in the ser-
vice of the City, be referred to the City Manager,

AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE CITY
GOV WMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1ST, 1929, AND ENDING
MARCH 31ST, 193010 ACID DECLARING AN ELERGENCYo
Moved by Alderman Patton that Ordinance No. 1021 be passed
on its third and final reading and be adopted as read.

Moved by Aldwman Patton that the Baseball Association be
allowed the park rate of nine (.09¢) cents per thousand gallons for
water furnished by the water Department,
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried,
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that John T. Young be appointed
to serve as a member of the Board of Equal iz at ion fb r the year 1929
in place of J. N. Prothro who cannot serve,
Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried,
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the City Manager be authorized to
grant a permit to the Vernon Shags for a street carnival to be held at
the Baseball Park May 13 th to 18th, inclusive.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carri ed .
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the City At for ne y be permitted to be
absent from the next meeting of the Board cf Aldermen.

be instructed to draft an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 241 to exempt
wholesale dealers from the operation of Section 5 of said ordinance.
