AN ORDINANCE M&KING APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE CITY w
GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNIM APRIL 1ST, 1929, .AND ENDING
MARCH 31ST, 1930, AND DECIARING AN URGENCY.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Ordinance No. 1021 be
passed on its second r eadi ng .
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and c arri ed by the
f ollowi ng vot e :
Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Spoonts a ni Hunt.
Nays: None,
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the Mayor be aithorized to
attend the seventeenth annul convention of the League of Texas Muni-
cipalities to be held at Houston on May 16th and 17th, with expenses
paid by the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and c arri ed .
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Manager and City
Attorney be instructed to investigate the removal frown the Police
force of Sid Johnson and report their findings to the Board of
Aldermen at the next meeting, if possible,
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.

Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the City Manager be authorized to
purchase approximately 3 acres cf land from Fred Weeks for an addition to
the nest side of Weeks Park; the purchase price to be $500.00 an acre and
settlement to be made through the purchase of water by W. F. Weeks from
the Water Departnent.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen arid carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
