Min 04/29/1929Wichita Falls, Texas, Memorial Auditorium Building, April 29, 192.9 . The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: J. W. Akin, Mayor C. E. McCutchen, J. H. Patton, J. M. Spoonts, Aldermen, J. W . Hunt, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager, W., E. McBroom, City Clerk, r Thelber t Martin, City Attorney,, The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. u The hearing with reference to the erection of a garage and filling station at No. 3118 Grant Street was called, and, after hearing no rrotests, the following motion was put in order : Moved by Alderman Hungthat A. W . Caperton be granted a permit to install and operate a gasoline filling station and garage at House No, 3118 Grant Street. i Motion seconded by C. E. Mc Cut then and carried. The hearing with reference to the erection of a gasoline filling station on the Northwest corner of Harrison Street and Avenue E was called and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in or der : Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Orient Petroleum Company be granted a permit to construct and operate a gasoline filling station on the corner of Harrison Street and Avenue E. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. ORDI NAIL E NO 1020 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE ADAMS ELECTRIFIED AND DIS- TILLED WATER COMPANY, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AM LESSEES, THE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A LOADING RACK UPON AND ACROSS RAI LR OAD STREET BETWEEN HOLLIDAY STREET AND THE ALLEY INTERSECTING BLOCK 3, SPIVEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WIC HITA FALLS. Moved by Alderman MCCutchen that Ordinance No. 1020 be passed on its third and final reading and be adopted as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and c arri ed by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen McCut ch en, Patton, Spoont s and Hunt. Nsy s : None. ORD INAICE NO 1021 AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FM SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRI L 1ST, 1929, AND ENDING MAR CHf 31ST , 1930, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, Moved by Alderman Hunt that Ordinary a No. 1021 be passed on its first reading, Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, Patton, Spoonts and McCutchen. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman McCut chen that the me eti ng be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. The Board cf Aldermen then adjourned.
