The Board of Aldermen of the City of ""ichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The ?,,"inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
T'�e returns of the general city election held on April 2nd
were canvassed.
T ,:rbved by -Alderman Hunt that the following resolution be
adopted.
Motion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried by the fol-
lowing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hunt, "after, Patton, Deaton and Tones.
Nay s: None .
I TEEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of
the City of ichita -alls, Texas,, held at the regular meeting place
in the Council Room of the T'emorial -".uditorium wilding in said City,
on the 8th day of April 1929, at which a quorum was present, came on
to be considered the returns of the city election held on _'_pril 2nd,
1929, for the purpose of electing three aldermen for the Cite of
"'ichita -walls., and
T WIVEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election it
was found that it was duly and legally held in all respects, and
that there were cast at said election 750 votes, and that

C. E. Y_cCutchen received 742 votes
For Alderman Place Number Two ( 2 )
J. W. 'Spoonts received - 740 votes
For ZkIderman Place Nunber Three (3)
R. 0. Harvey received - 659 votes

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, in regular session assembled that C. E. lk.!cCutchen,
J. 1.. Spoonts and R. 0. Harvey were duly and legally elected Aldermen of
the City of Wichita Falls at said election, and that said election was in
all respects legally held in accordance with the laws of the State of
Texas and the Charter and Ordinances of said City,

Moved by Ald er man Carter that Ordinance No. 1019 be passed on
its third and final reading and be adopted as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman erman Patton and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Carter, Patton, Jones, Deaton and Hunt,
Nays: None .
The newly elected aldermen were qualified by administration of
the Oath of Office by _"ayor J. ''. Akin and took their seats at the
council table.

Ref ins i ng Company for a permit to construct and operate a gasoline
filling station on Lot 22, Block 2, Truehart Subdivision of Block
2 of the Bellevue Addition, be received and a public hearing be set
at 7:30 P. M. April 152 1929, for the purpose of hearing protests.

Taoved by Alderman Hunt that the City Clerk be instructed
to advertise for bids for the annual city audit in accordance with
specifications to be provided by the City T.Ianager. Said bids to
be received until 7 :30 P. M. April 22, 19290

RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE B OARD OF ALDERVIEN rF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
That the Tax Assessor of said City be authorized and in-
structed to use as a basis of value for tax assessment for the year
1929, 66 2/3f of the true assessed valuation.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this the Sth day of April 1929.

execute a quit claim deed to clear title as to delinquent taxes
