The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. _ _ _ MW moved by Alderman Jones that the matter of prohibiting radio interference by the use of electric appliances be referred to the Uity Attorney for his opinion as to the legality of an ordinance on this subject, L.Iot ion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried. Moved by Alderman Patton that the city attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinAnce repealing that section of the Traffic urdinance providing for a two hour parking limit in the down town section. motion seconded by Alderman garter and carried. -Mom Moved by Alderman Hunt that the complaint with reference to the tax value placed on Lots 12 and 13, Block A, Warf ord -;ddit ion, be referred to the City Manager and Ttkx Assessor with authority to act* motion seconded by Alderman -ueaton and carried. The hearing with reference to the application of J . C . Glass for a permit to erect a, business building at the rear of House Number 2201 Taylor was called and after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Hunt that the hearing be closed. ,iotion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. r, 1 !loved by Alderman Hunt that the Building Inspector be authorized to issue a permit to J. C. Glass for the erection of a business house in the rear of House Number 2201 Tayloro motion seconded by Alderman Carter and carried* moved by Alderman Jones that the following resolution be adopted, Motion seconded by Alderman carterer and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Jones, Carter, Patton, Deat on and Hunt. Nays: None. nE SO LUT I ON A resolution authorizing the (; ity manager to enter into a con- � tract with Wichita County, on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls to pay the e ityt s proportionate part of the costs of raising Rnd building a bridg over and across the spillway at bake Wichita, such costs to be determined by the City Engineer. wHEREAS , it is the desire of the State Highway Commission, ii,ederal Government and the County of Wichita to construct a, bridge over and across the spillway of Lake Wichita and whereas it is probable. that the City of Wichita .4'alls will raise the present dam of Lake vvichita, and it is the desire of all parties concerned that such bridge be built high enough to take care of any overflow from said Lake after the dam has been raised, and whereas the commissioners, Court of Wichita county, Texas, desire the City of Wichita malls to obligate itself to pay its propor- tionate part of the costs of so raising said bridge as to take care of sai water after said dam is raised. ROW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER 1EN OF TH-E CITY OF WICH ITA FALLS, TEXAS: 1. That the City Liana.ger be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Wichita County, Texas, binding the city of vvichita Falls to pay its proportionate part of the costs of so raising the said proposed bridge so that the waters spilled rrom lAke Wichita after the dam of said lake has been raised, lsuch costs to be determined and checked by the t;ity Engineer) may be properly taken care of. After hearing the reading of a proposed contract between the u itv of Wichita mlls and the Wichita yalls Independent School District with reference to the collection of taxes b, the City Tax uepartment for the Independent School District, the following motion was put in order; Moved by Alderman.. hunt that the City Manager be authorized to sign the proposed contract for a -rid in behalf of the City providing for the collection of taxes assessed by the Wichita malls independent School District for a consideration of 17o of total taxes collected for said district, motion seconded by Alderman uart er'and carried. moved by Alderman Patton that the meeting be adjourned.
