The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:,

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Carter that the taxable value on the Clint
Wood property at the corner of Tenth and Brook Streets described a6
Lots 1 and 2 and one-half of 3 in Block 1, Boyd No. 1. Addition, be re-
duced for the year 1928 from �37,460.00 to ,�27,660.00, and the taxes
on over valuation be remitted*

Moved by Alderman Carter that the request of the Magnolia.
Petroleum Company for a permit to install a, curb pump at 508 Indiana
be referred to the city Manager.

moved by Alderman Patton that the application of J. U. Glass
for a permit to construct and operate a grocery store at the rear of
2201 Taylor Street be received, and the city Clerk be instructed to
give notice of a public hearing to be held at 7 :30 P. M. March 4th in
the U o unc i 1 Chamber in the m e mo r ia1 Auditorium for the purpose of
hearing protests*

RAILWAY LINES FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS FROM THE FINAL PASSAGE
THEREOF, AND THEREAFTER UNTIL AND UNLESS THIS ORDINANCE BE REPEALED.

SECT ION 1. That an election is hereby called to be held on the
2nd day of April A. D. , 1929, for the purpose of electing three aldermen
for the city of vvichita Falls, Texas.
5 EC T I ON = 2 • The places for which Aldermen shall be elected are
hereby designated as positions gos,. 1, 2 and 3. Said Aldermen shall
serve the Uity of Wichita Falls for the ensuing two years and until their
successors are elected and qualified.
SECTION 3. Said election shall be held in accordance with the
laws of the State of Texas, Ordinances and charter of the a it y of Viichita
Falls made and provided in such cases. The places for holding of said
election shall be in the Vfichita County court riou.se, Alamo School Build-
ing and the South Side Baptist Church Annex at 2206 Holliday Street, in
said City, county and State, and the following named persons are hereby
appointed and named to hold said election, to -wit:

transfer the sum of 40, 288.50 and g10,163.51 from the Street Fund and
Park Fund respectively to the General Fund, representing warrants written
on the General Fund to cover operating expenses of the Street and Park
Departments d gyring the period April lst to November 30th, 1928 .

Moved by Alderman Hunt that the report of the Board of Appeals
and Review upholding the decision of the board of Aldermen denying a
permit to the panhandle Refining Company for the construction of a
f illing station at the corner of Ninth and Denver Streets be received
and approved, and the Board of Appeals and Review be extended a- vote of th nks by
this Body for their services in this case#

to receive payment of city taxes during the month of March 1929 without
penalty.
