The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita malls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present
is 17. Akin, mayor,
J. H. Patton, 4
J . Vi . Hunt, Aldermen,
L. L. Deaton,
G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager,
W . E . McBro o m, City Clerk,

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Aunt that the application of Chas. Thompson
for a permit to construct and operate a drive-in filling station on the
Southwest corner of North Third and Broadway Streets be referred to the
City Manager with authority to act.
motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
The public hearing with reference to the application of
H. E. Collins for a permit to operate a grocery store at 2305 Princeton
Avenue was called and after hearing the protests of 11 property owners
residing or owning property in the 2300 block on Princeton Avenue, the
following motion was put in order:
Moved by Alderman Patton that a permit be denied H. E. Collins
for the operation of a grocery store at 2305 Princeton Avenues
motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the complaint of R. L. Ward,
Produce Broker, be referred to the City Manager.
Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
Moved by Alderman Runt that the complaint of Dwight M. Ross
with reference to the tax value placed on the North 79.84 feet of Lot
14 Morningside North Addition, be referred to the city Mane,ger for
proper adjustments
Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried.
