regular session on the above date with the following members present

Moved by Alderman Jones that Alderman Carter be appointed
mayor Pro-tem to act during the absence from the City of Mayor J. W.
Akin.
Motion seconded by Alderman aunt and carried.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that J* J. ,Jenkins be granted a, per-
mit to construct and operate a drive-in f illing station on the west
side of Lot 8, Block 144, Original Townsite, being 513 Burnett Street*
Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried*
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the application of !i. E. Collins
for a permit to operate a grocery store at 2305 ,princeton Avenue be
received and the City clerk be instructed to give notice of a public
hearing to be held at 7 ; 30 Po M. February 18t h, 1929, in the Gounci 1
Chamber in the memorial Auditorium for the purpose of hearing protests,

Moved by Alderman Deaton that the City Manager be authorized
to reduce the full taxable value of the property owned by jAiss John
Bonner located at 1006 Broad Street from §7,500.00 to 05,250.00 for
the years 1925 to 1928, inclusive, and the taxes on overvaluation. be
remitted*
motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried.

THE ilk ICH ITA FALLS TRACTION COMPANY AND NOTE GRANTING TO THE W ICHITA FALLS
TRACTION COMPANY THE RIGHT TO CHARGE ALL PASSENGERS (EXCEPT SCHOOL
CHILDREN) A FARE OF SEVEN CENTS ON ITS ELECTRIC STREET RAILWAY LINES FOR
A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS FROM THE FINAL PASSAGE THEREOF, AND THEREAFTER
UNTIL AND UNLESS THIS ORDINANCE BE REPEALED.
