The public hearing with referenae to the application of the Panhandle xefining company for a permit to construct a gasoline filling station on Lot 1, Block 12, uraat Subdivision in Bellevue Adaition, was called and after receiving a petition of protest filed by fourteen property owners residing within the radius of 600 feet of the proposed site, the following motion was put in order: too v e d by A ld a rman Patton that the panhandle K e f in in g Company be denied a permit to construct a gasoline filling station on Lot 1, Block 12, urant Subdivision Isellevue Addition, for the following reaso ns z o-wiz : 1. The construction and operation of said filling station will cause a fire hazard. 2. The operation of said filling station at this location would be a serious handicap to traffic. 3* it will injure property values in a strictly residential district. 4. Winegart representing the Panhandle Refining Company gave notice of appealfromthe decision of the Board of Aldermen to the Board of Appeals and Keview created by Ordinance No. 419. ORDINANCE NO 1015 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON WASHING THE WItuDOWS AND MALLS, OR MAKING ANY REPAIRS ON ANY BUILDING OVER AND ABOVE ANY SIDEWALK, STREET OR ALLEY, IN THE CITY OF W ICHITA FALLS. Nays; None. an we .. _ RE OLUT INN A RESOLUTION AUTHUR IZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER AND CITY CLERK TO GIVE WRITTEN NOTICE OF REDS ION OF STREET IM2ROVE 121T BONDS DATED MARCH 159 1929, DUE MARCH 159 19599 OPTIONAL MARCH 159 1929. WHEREAS, the city of vj ichita kulls Street improvement bonds dated march 15th, 1919, due 40 years from their date but redeemable at the option of the u ity at any time after 10 years from their date; bearing 5�6 interest, being for the total sum of 475, 000. uO and of which amount there is now outstanding and unpaid the sum of 74, 000.00, both principal and interest being payable in the office of the city Treasurer or at the Hanover national 13ank at New -York, at the option of the holder, and being Bond Nos. 1 to 4, both inclusive, and 6 to 75, both inclusive, and WHEREAS, Section 75 of the Charter of the City of Wichita Falls requires that the accumulated sinking fund of any issue of bonds shall be applied at once to the discharge of a like amount of said bonds should the City be entitled to redeem same, and WHEREAS, the City is entitled to redeem .3ond Nos. 1 to 4, both inclusive, and 6 to 18, both inclusive, due to the Sinking e-und of this issue having a balance of §17, 000.00 at this time; THEREFORE, i3E IT RESOLVED BY 11'HE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF W ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS Sect ion 1. The City Treasurer and the city Clerk of the u ity of Wichita Falls, Texas, are hereby authorized, ordered and directed to jointly issue and execute proper notice in writing in conformity with the proceedings authorizing the issuanee of Street Improvement bonds Series 5 issued pursuant to an election duly called and held in said u ity , and ordinances Nos. 258 and 263 adopted by the Board of Aldermen on March 20th, A. D. 1919, and MV 1st, A. D. 1919, respectively, to the effect that the City of w ichi to iralla has called in for redemption outstanding Bonds iVos* l to 4, both inclusive, and vos. 6 to 18, both inclusive, aggregating the sum of 417, 000, which outstanding bonds are hereinabove described and which said, notice shall be substantially as follows: CITY OF W ICH ITA FALLS, TEUS . r•ebruary 15th, 1929. To holders of city of Wichita, palls Street Improvement bonds Series 5, dated March 15th, 1919. iiOT10E .1S HEREBY GIvEN THAT the 0ity of wichita r-all.s, Texas, by resolution duly adopted by its Board of Aldermen on the 4th day of February 1929, of record in cook No. 11 of the minutes of said Board, has called in for redemption the following series of bonds Street Improvement Bonds No. 1 to 4, both inclusive, and 6 to 189 both inclusive, in the denomination of 01, 000.00 each, aggregating §17, 000, issued under date of march 15th, 1919. I THAT THE DATE fixed in said resolution for redeeming said bonds is the 15th day of march, 1929, and you are hereby notified that in the event said bonds or any of them are not presented for redemption at the Hanover national .yank in vew York city, they shall cease to bear interest from and after the date so fixed for their redemption* THIS NOTICE is issued and given pursuant to the aforesaid resolution of the board of Aldermen, and in accordance with recitals and provisions in each bond. of the series of bonds hereinabove described.
