Min 10/27/193001 ', ichita "alls, -eras Memorial Auditorium Building October 27th, 1930 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor J. M. Spoonts, X J. N. Prothro, X E. H. Eddleman, X Aldermen R. 0. Her vey, X C. E. McCutchen, Z G. D. Fai rtrace , City Manager W. E. i,`CBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney -he Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the City Manager be author- ized to grant a permit to the Lasalle Petroleum Company for installa- tion of a gasoline tank and pump at 214 Burkburnett Road, provided the location of said tank and pump is satisfactory to the City Manager. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. The hearing with reference to granting a permit to Mrs. D. H. '. illiams for the operation of a grocery store in her home located at 1904 Seventh Street was called, and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Tsars. D. H. ': illiams be granted a permit to operate a grocery store in her residence at 1904 Seventh Street. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. The City Manager presented four bids for contract to re- build a storm sewer on Scott Avenue. After due consideration, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the City I-anager be author- ized to sign a contract with M. A. Litteken, low bidder, for recon- struction of a 60 inch storm sewer on Scott Avenue at a price of $9.80 per lineal foot for concrete construction in accordance with specifications. �._, Motion seconded by Alderman T.1cCutchen and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the Trustees of the Colored Day Nursery be allowed to use the Auditorium without charge for a benefit performance to be given in the near future. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. The Board of Aldeimen then adjourned.
