Min 10/13/1930Kl Wichita Falls, ^exas Memorial Auditorium Building October 13th, 1930 The Board of Aldermen of the City of V,,ichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: 'alter Nelson, Jr., Mayor E. H. Eddleman, I C. E. McCutchen, Z J. M. Spoonts, X Aldermen J. N. Prothro, X G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. '.'. F. Cieeks appeared before the Council protesting against them flooding of land adjacent to Holliday Creek by overflow water, and suggested that Holliday Creek be cleaned of all debris, straightened and, if necessary, a supplementary canal be built to carry flood water caused by excessive rainfall. No action was taken. ORDINANCE NO.1041 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING, ASSESSING AID F�XIM THE RATE OF TAXATION IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR A. D. 1930 AND LEVYING AN OCCUPATION TAX ON ALL OCCUPATION TAXABLE UNDER THE IAVS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AND THE CHARTER AID, ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, AN DECLARING AND EMERGE ICY . Moved by Alderman Eddleman that Ordinance No. 1041 be passed on its third and final reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Eddleman, Spoonts, Prothro and McCutchen. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Prothro that the City Council go on record as not being willing to remit the license fee on Street Carnivals under any circumstances except in extraordinary cases. —�� I b:otion seconded by Alderman Mcputchen and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the meeting be adjourned. Puotion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. READ AND APPROVED this the 20th day of October 1930.
