Min 09/22/1930ram'` Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building September 22nd, 1930 The Board of Aldermen of the City of 1 ichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Layor J. N. Prothro, E. H. Eddleman, X R. 0. Harvey, X Aldermen C. E. McCut Chen, I J. M. Spoonts, X W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelber t Martin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the Kiwanis Club be granted a permit to bring in Wortham's Great Shows for one week beginning September 29th, it being understood that the benefits derived by the said Kiwanis Club are to be used for a public purpose. :..otion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the Park Department be authorized to loan such seats as are available to the County Fair Association at Iowa Park, provided that proper receipts for said seats are obtained from responsible parties. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the- following resolution be adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried by the fol- j lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spoonts, Eddleman, Prothro, Harvey and McCutchen. Nays: None. RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: That in the event the Ncrth 175 feet of Block 166 of the Original City of Wichita Falls, should be selected by the U.S. Govern- ment as a site for the new Federal Building, and that all the property owners in said block give their consent; that this Board will pass an ordinance vacating, closing and abandoning the North 175 feet of the alley in said block. It being understood that the City shall not be liable in damages or otherwise to anyone for closing said alley and that proper and satisfactory arrangements will be made to take care of the change and relocation of all public utility lines in said alley in- cluding sewer and water lines and across said block without expense to the city. Passed and approved this the 22nd day of September 1930. Nays: None. RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY 0v WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: THAT in the event the South 200 feet of Block 141 of the Orig- inal City of Wichita Falls, should be selected by the U. S. Government as a site for the new Federal Building, and that all the property owners in said block given their consent; that this Board will pass an ordinance vacating, closing and abandoning the South 200 feet of the alley in said block. It being understood that the City shall not be liable in damages or otherwise to anyone for closing said alley and that proper and satis- factory arrangem'nts will be made to take care of the change and reloca- tion of all public utility lines in said alley including sewer and water lines and across said block without expense to the city. Passed and approved this the 22nd day of Septenber 1930. Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the City Treasurer be authorized and instructed to transfer :°45,000.00 from the ', ater Fund to the General Fund . Motion seconded by Aldermen Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutche n that: the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. The Bowd of Aldermen then adjourned.
