H. Eddleman, i J. I'. Spoonts, X Aldermen J. N. Prothro, X G. D. Gairtrace, City Ianager E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. I:`oved by Alderman Eddleman that the Yiwanis Club be granted a permit to stage a street carnival at a location to be selected by them on September 8th to 18th, inclusive. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. ORDINANCE NO.1040 AN ORDINANCE AVEMDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1036, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ON THE 21ST DAY OF JULY, A. D. 1930, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF OPERATI I�rL AMID L:AI NTAINING MINIATURE GOLF COURSES, PUTTING GREENS, DRIVING COURSES, CROQUET GAMES, AMID ALL OTHER GAMES OF A SIMILAR NATURE, WITHIN THE CORPOR- ATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ; REQUIRING THAT A PERMIT BE OBTAINED FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SUCH GAMES; PRO- HIBITING THEIR CONSTRUCTION, EXECUTION, OPER AT ION AND MAINTENANCE WITHIN ONE HUNDRED FEET OF ANY PRIVATE RESIDENCE IN SAID CITY WITHOUT THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE OWNER AMID OCCUPANT OF SUCH PRIVATE RESIDENCE OR RESIDENCES; i'R OHIB TTI NG GAP.SBLING ON S UC H GAMES; REQUIRING THAT SUCH PLACES OF BUSINESS AM SLLH GAMES BE CLOSED FROM ELEVEN P. M. TO EIGHT THIRTY A. M. OF EACH AND EVERY DAY; PROHIBITING LOUD NOISES, MUSIC, RADIOS, PHONOGRAPHS, BANDS, ETC., FROM BEING PLAYED AT SUCH PLACES OF BUSINESS IN SUCH MANNER AS TO DISTURB PERSONS RESIDING NEAR SAME; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND THE FORFEITURE OF SME PEM!-'ITS." Moved by Alderman Eddleman that Ordinance No. 1040 be passed on its third and final reading and be adopted as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the ��--, following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Eddleman, Spoonts and Prothro. Nays: None. Loved by Alderman Spoont s that the meeting be adjourned.
