The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Eddleman that the claim of G. D. Ireland
for alleged water damage to his property located at 2105 Broad street
in the amount of $750.00 be rejected.
Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried.
Moved by Alderman Harvey that the City Manager be instructed
to place stop signs at grade railroad crossings on Harrison Street,
Brook Avenue and Holliday Street, and to notify S. A. Covington, Super-
visor of the tracks crossing the above named streets that an ordinance
will be adopted regulating the whistling of trains approaching #Wm
said crossings unless the engine men operating 1 comotives in the city
limits refrain from a*" unnecessary whistling has caused com-
plaints from property owners in the southern section of the City.
Lotion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried.
iuoved by Alderman Eddleman that the City Attorney be in-
structed to draft an ordinance regulating the operation of miniature
golf courses in the city limits, especially with reference to closing
time at night and requiring permits from the Board of Aldermen for
any additional courses that are constructed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.

Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Clerk be instructed
to place the following advertisement in the '.;ichita Falls Record News
calling for bidskw a city depository for the year beginning August 1st,
1930, and ending July 31st , 1931:
NOTICE TO BANKS AMID BANKERS: The Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls will receive sealed bids until 7:30
P. M. July 28, 1930, in the Council Chamber in the L:emorial
Auditorium for a city depository for the year beginning
August 1, 1930, and ending July 31, 1931. Bidders shall
state in writing the rate of interest they will pay on
daily balances and shall agree to carry the legally issued
deficiency warrants of the City of Wichita Falls at an
amount of interest not exceeding 6% per annum. The suc-
cessful bidder shall recommend to the City Manager an
official of the bank who shall be appointed to act as
City Treasurer at a salary not exceeding $10.00 per year.
Done in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Board
of Aldermen on the 14th day (f July 1930.
Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried.
Moved by Alderman Prothro that the City Treasurer be instructed
to transfer $25,000.00 from the Water Fund to the General Fund.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
