Min 06/09/1930194 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building June 9th, 1930 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor, C. E. McCutchen, 1 J. N. Prothro, Aldermen, R. 0. Harvey, X G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager, W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The hearing on the application of T. E. Hill for a permit to erect and operate a gasoline filling station on Lots 1 and 2, Block 236, Original Townsite, was called, and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Prothro that T. E. Hill be granted a permit to erect and operate a gasoline filling station on Lots 1 and 2, Block 236, Original Towns ite. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. Moved by Alderman 2vicCutchen that the City accept the park site described as approximately twelve acres out of the Cannon Park Addition offered by the Kiwanis Club subject to a debt of $1,800 against the land which is to be paid by the Kiwanis Club, provided also that the City will institute condemnation proceedings toliVure the lots owned by R. E. Dewoody, the cost of same to be paid by the Kiwanis Club. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Yanager be author- ized to execute contracts with the Panhandle Steel Products Company for the purchase of two steel buildings to be used for the following purposes: Hay storage, size 40 x 50 - :'1,579.00 Equipment storage, size 52 x 66 - 3,300.00 t`otion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the application of Short Brothe for a permit to construct a brick building on ' ots 17 and 18, Plock 8, Honewood: Heights Addition, to be used for the purpose of handling milk products be received and a public hearing be ordered held at 7:30 P. M. June 16th, 1930, in the Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium Build- ing for the purpose of hearing protests. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. The Board of Alderman then adjourned.
