M. Spo ont s , X R. 0. Harvey, Y C. F. McCutchen, X Aldermen, E. H. Eddleman, Y J. N. Pro thro, X G. D. Fai rtrace, City Manager, W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The public hearing on the application of Short Brothers for a permit to construct a building at 1409 Sixteenth Street to be used as a creamery was called, and, after receiving a petition of protests signed by thirty two property owners in the vicinity of the proposed location, the following motion was put in cyder: Moved by Alderman Harvey that a permit be denied Short Brothers for the erection of a frame building on Lot 5, Block 18, Jalonic Addition, to be used as a creamery for handling milk pro- ducts for the following reasons to -wit: 1. The construction and operation of said creamery building will injure property value in a strictly residential district. 2. It will be a detriment to the health, peace and comfort of all surrounding property owners. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. The public hearing on the application of D. A. Cameron for a permit to construct and operate a retail grocery store on his property located at the corner of Eighteenth and Burnett Streets was called, and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman McCutchen that D. A. Cameron be granted a permit to erect and operate a grocery store on his property on the corner of Eighteenth and Burnett Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddlemen and carried. Allen 4,197.00 Moved by Alderman McCutchen that action on the bids received for the erection of the Registry Room near the Municipal Golf Club build- ing be deferred. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. Bids for the erection of a Fire Station at the intersection of Seventeenth and Holliday Streets were opened and tabulated. Allen 9,393.00 A. C. King 9,148.40 Moved by Alderman McCutchen that action on bids for the erection of the Fire Station at Seventeenth and Holliday Streets be deferred. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
