Min 04/28/1930780 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Build ing Apr i. l 28 th , 1930 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following member s present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor R. 0. Harvey, Z E. H. Ed dl eman , J. N. Prothro, Aldermen J. V. Spoonts, X G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager T. E. P'cBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and anproved. The report on check of rye titi on filed by Jack Ballard was read and after discussion the following motion was nut in order: Koved by Alderman Prothro that the request as set forth in the petition calling for an election on the City Itanager plan be denied for reason that the number of signatures are insufficient and the petition is not in proper form. Motion seconded .by Alderman Harvey and carried. Bids for contract to audit the books and records of the City of Wichita -alls and General "ospital were opened and tabulated. The following bids were received: !r. E. Wallace Allred, Lambert & Nichols Schoolar, Byrd & McCullough J. E. Hutchison, Jr Shapard, Crouch Company E. P. Talsh & Company Ferguson, Colaw & Company Rankin & PTcAlpine City Hospital Total 1,847.00 775.00 150.00 925.00 Per Diem r25.00 per Diem $2,400.00 2,800.00 1,000.00 720.00 170.00 890.00 1,285.00 Loved by Alderman Harvey that the contract to audit the books and records of the City and General Hospital be awarded to Allred, Lambert & Nichols on their bid of 8925.00 total cost. I'otion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. f81 Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the following freeholders be appointed as a Board of Equalization fbr the year 1930: J. M. Baber Roscoe Staton J. T. Young Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Alderman McCutchen be granted permission to be absent from the meetingSof the Board held on April 28th and May 5 th. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance providing for an additional appropriation of $825.00 to cover part of the salary of a special officer to work in the Country Club Estates territory for eleven months, beginning r'ay 1, 1930, and ending March 31, 1931. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Yoved by Alderman ,Iarvey that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Eddleman and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
