Memorial Auditorium Building M .rch loth, 1930 V The Board of Aldermen of the City of '.'�ichita Falls met i. regular session on the above date with the following members prese J. W. Akin, Mayor, C. E. McCutchen, J. M. Spoonts, J. W. Hunt, ,'ldermen, J. H. Patton, R. 0. Harvey, G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager, W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, Thelbert Martin, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Patton that the checks held by the City payable to Dosch Electric Company be released to E. C. Dosch to be applied in payment of taxes on his homestead property, provided he can raise sufficient additional funds to cover all city taxes on this property. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the Little Theater players be permitted to use the Auditorium free of charge for the presentation of an entertainment to be given in the near future, _rovided that all receipts in excess of $400.00 be donatedaone hlf to the Family Relief Association and one half to the Salvation Army. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and c-irried. Mr. W. S. Curlee appeared before the Council and read 1 report from the Zoning Commission appointed on or about June 6th, 1928. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the report of the Zoning Com- mission be received, approved and filed, and the Commission be discharged with the thanks of the Board of Aldermen. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the application of B. W. Johnson for the construction of a 10,000 gallon gasoline storage tank on Lot 1, Block 1, Ed Wilson Addition, be referred to the City Manager with authority to act. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the Tax Assessor be instructed to correct the error in assessing property of the Nichita Falls Baseball As- sociation for the year 1929, and the correct value of $15,580 be reinstated on t;ais property - it being the same as was assessed for the years 1925 to 1928, inclusive. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. ORDINANCE NO 1033 AN ORDINANCE MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE BALANCE OF THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1st, 1929, AND ENDING MARCH 31ST, 1930, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Ordinance No. 1033 be passed on its third and final reading and be adopted as read. vote: Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried by the following Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Harvey, Spoonts, Patton and Hunt. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Harvey that Paul Seeds be requested to appear before the Board for the purpose of explaining in more detail his proposal for thelcreation of a position to be known as a Municipal Band Director. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Mrs. H. C. Cheshire be permitted to pay $100.00 for use of the Auditorium on February 26th for a Marionette show from which the Parent -Teachers Association benefitted.
