McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney � The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. 1:oved by Aldermen Harvey that the taxable values for the years 1928 and 1929 on Lots 1 and 2, Block 186, Original Townsite, owned by the Elks Lodge, be reduced to $6,750. on account of this organization being a semi charitable institution. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman Patton that the taxable value on the middle 50 feet of Lots 1 and 2 Block 236 Original Townsite owned bthe yy 0 del lows Lodge, be reduced to $72D.00 for the years including the year 1929, on account of the ownership being semi charitable institution. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. Bids for a contract to furnish ambulance service for the year beginning March 1st, 1930, and ending February 28th, 1931, were opened and considered. Nay s: None. RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE B OAR D OF A IDERM EK OF TF. E CITY OF V ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That an election is hereby called to be held on the 1st day of April A. D. , 1930, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and two Aldermen for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. SECTION 2. The places for which Aldermen shall be elected are hereby -designated as Positions Nos. 4 and 5. Said Mayor and Aldermen shall serve the City of Wichita Falls for the ensuing two years and until their successors are elected and qualified. SECTION 3. Said election shall be held in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, Ordinances and Charter of the City of Wichita Falls made and provided in such cases. The places for holding of said election shall be in the Wichita County Court House, Alamo School Building and the South Side Baptist Church Annex at 2206 Holliday Street, in said @ity, County and State, and the following named persons are hereby ap- pointed and named to hold said election, to -wit: „ICHITA COUNTY COURT HOLE BOX: AL 0 SCHOOL BOX: E. Thirty days notice of the time and place of holding said election shall be given by posting copies of the election notice at three public places in the City of V;ichita Falls to -wit: 1 at the Wichita County Court House 1 at the Alamo School 1 at the South Side Baptist Church Annex in said city and by, publishing a copy cf this notice in the ,'richita Falls Record News, a newspaper cf general circulation, published for at least one year prior to the date of this notice, in said city and being the official organ of said city.
