The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita ^alls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:
J. Akin, Mayor,
C. E. McCutchen, Z
J. M. Spoonts, Z
J. T. Hunt, X Aldermen,
R. 0. Harvey, X
G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager,
E. YcBroom, City Clerk,
Thelbert Martin, City Attorney.
The lAinutes cf the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alder nan Hunt that Jack Humphrey be granted a
permit for the construction of a gasoline filling station on lots 11
and 12, Block I, Montgomery Resubdivision, being House No. 302 Scott,
provided that the plans and specifications are approved by the City
Manager and City Engineer as to location and drainage.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the places to be filled on
the Board of Aldermen at the general election to be held on April
lst, 1930, be designated as follows:
The place now occupied by Alderman J. W. Hunt be designated as Position
No. 4.
The place now occupied by Alderman J. H. Patton be designated as
Postion No. 5.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried.
r„oved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Treasurer be auth-
orized and instructed to make the following transfers of "unds to
cover material and supplies furnished other Departments by the Street
Department during the year ended January 31, 1930, as per detailed
statement submitted by the City Clerk:

Moved by Alderman kicCutchen that the Tax Collector be instructed
to cancel the tax assessment for the year 1929 against personal property
located at 723 Ohio Avenue owned by '"alter Hodges amounting to $8.40.
This cancellation being made on account of an error in rendition.
Notion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
Moved by Alderman Spoonts that the error in valuation placed
on the improvements located on Lot 12, Block 6, Harrison Addition, being
House No. 1904 Speedway, be corrected by reducing the assessed value for
the year 1929 in the amount of $'380.00.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried.
Nloved by Alderman Spoonts that the full taxable value placed or.
Lot 4, Block 22, Southland Addition, be reduced 860.00 for the year
1929 on account of error in rendition, and Arnie Davis be refunded the sum
of $8.12 to cover over payment of tax on this property.
Notion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
Gloved by Alderman McCutchen that the taxable value for the ear
1929 on Lot 3, Block 173, Original Townsite, awned by Toy Diner, be re-
duced `3,860.00 on account of error in assessing a building which had
been removed from the lot.

Moved by Alderman YcCutchen that the City Langer be authorized
to extend time of payment two years of debt certificate issued to the
City by the American R� finding Properties, provided that a majority of
the creditors do likewise.

'foved by Alderman Spoonts that the request of Yemp, Peckham and
Harrell, promoters of the Marlborough Addition, for refund of cost of sewer
lines constructed by them, be tabled until such time as refunds on all
other such contracts can be considered.
Lotion seconded by Alderman IcCutchen and carried.
N4oved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried.
