The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:
J. W. Akin, Mayer
J. W. Hunt, X
R. 0. Harvey, X
C. E. McCutchen, X Aldermen

W. E. LMcBroom, City Clerk
Thel bert Martin, City Attorney
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the complaint filed by Percy
Phillips with reference to the tax assessment placed on the personal
property of the Corner Drug Store located at Tenth and Lamar Streets,
for the year 1929, be referred to the City Manager for investigation.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried.
Moved by Alderma n Spoonts that the complaint f iled by the
owner of Lot 15, Block 14, Westmoreland Addition, being house No.
3218 York Street, be referred to the City Manager.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the complaint with reference to
the assessment on personal property of Walter E. Hodges located in the
building at 723 Ohio Avenue, be referred to the City Manager.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
Moved by Alderman Harvey that J. A. Hobbs be refused a license
to operate a dance club at 916z Indiana Avenue.
Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen anft carried.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the tax Collector be author-
ized and instructed to receive payment of taxes through the month of
February 1930 without penalty.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey end carried.
Moved by Alderman Harvey that the City Clerk be instructed to
write a letter to L. L. Albritton, General Manager of the Wichita Falls
Traction Company, and request that the street cars be kept comfortably
warm during the wi nt er months.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
