January 13th, 1930
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:
J. W. Akin, Mayor,
J. If. Spoonts, X
J. W. Hunt , X
R. 0. Harvey, Aldermen,
C. E. McCutchen, Z
G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager,
W. E. McBroom, City Clerk,
Thelbert Martin, Cit? Attorney.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Aldermen McCutchen that the report of the Board
of Managers of the Wichita General Hospital submitted by H. 1. Hunter,
Secretary, be received and the Board be given a vote of thanks for the
report and the splendid services rendered in the operation of this
institution.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.
Property tax payers on Ohio Avenue between Sixth and Plinth
Streets filed a protest against values placed on their property by
the equalization Board for the year 1929, but no action was taken.
Moved by Alderman Hunt that the following citizens be re-
appointed as the Board of Appeals or Review created by Ordinance No.
419, for a term of one year beginning July 23rd, 1929:
A. L.. Huey, Chairman,
Ed Howard,
Mack Thomas.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Manager be
authorized to attend the Cast Iron Pipe rate hearing to be held in
Houston on Monday, January 20th, 1930.
Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
