The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The-.-inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Several members of the Executive Board of the Kemp Public
Library appeared before the Council and explained the financial needs
of the Library. D. Cline, acting as spokesman, rude a detailed
statement of the history oX Ot,o�tyt �t i brary service and
its value to the community; the sec recur , if possible, a
larger appropriation than was proposed by the City Yanager
in the revised budget effective September 1. The Council took the
matter under advisement.
The hearing on the application of J. B. Bentley for a
permit to place an all steel structure in the front of his residence
at 1518 Eleventh Street to be used as a gasoline filling station was
called, and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was put
in order:
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that J. B. Bentley be granted
a permit to place an all steel structure in the front of his resi-
dence at 1518 Eleventh Street, provided all work is done under the
supervision of the City Engineer.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 511, PASSED AND AP-
PROVED ON THE 19TH DAY OF MAY, 1924, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULAT-
ING THE CONSTRUCTIU, ALTERATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND REMOVAL
OF BUILDINGS WITHIN THE CITY OF WTCHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS", BY ADDING TO SAID ORDINANCE SECTION 65 (a)
