The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The public hearing with reference to application of J. N.
Hobbs for a permit to construct and operate a grocery store at the
rear of 1322 North Eighth Street was called, and, after receiving a
petition of protests from property owners in the vicinity of the
proposed location and after hearing all facts presented in connection
therewith, the following motion was put in order:
Moved by Alderman Eddleman that J. N. Hobbs be granted a
permit to construct and operate a grocery store at the rear of 1322
North Eighth Street subject, however, to an investigation by the
City Lanager and the finding by him that in his judgment the grant-
ing of such permit will not effect the health, peace, and comfort
of surrounding property owners.

-oved by Alderman Eddleman that the application of J. B.
Bentley for a permit to convert the front of his residence lot at
1518 Eleventh Street into a gasoline f illing station of all steel
construction be received, and the City Clerk be instructed to give
notice by publication of a public hearing to be held at 7:30 P.P;�.
August 31, 1931, in the Council Chamber in the Llemorial Auditorium
for the purpose of hearing protests.

a permit to install gasoline tanks and pumps on the Southwest corner
of ninth and Brook Streets for the purpose of operating a drive-in
gasoline filling station.
