Alderman Eddleman then assumed the L/layorts position and took charge of the meeting. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read �.nd approved. R�LSOLUT ION RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING TAx ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR OF THE CITY OF 19ICHITA FALLS NOT TO ASSESS THE EAST ONE-IIALF OF BIACK NUiHBER 192, OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF WICIIITA FALLS, WICIiITA CO=1Y, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 196 1. WHEREAS, the United States Government has acquired Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (J), Four (4), and Five (b), in Block One Hundred Ninety-two (192), of the Original Town of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, the same being that East One-half of said Block, to be used as a site for a post office and Federal Building; and, whereas, such property .is exempt from taxes under the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas. ORDINANCE NO. 10al AN ORDINANCE REVIRING EACH AND EVERY DR9YMAN, DRIVER OF E'IPRES OR BAGGAGE WAGON, AND ALL OTHER PERSONS PURSUING LIKE OCCUPATIONS WITH OR WITHOUT VEHICLES, TO MAKE REPORTS IN WRITING TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, GIVING THE NAMES OF ALL PERSJIdS MOVING FROM ONE LOCATION TO ANOTHER, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. f Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Ordinance No. 1051 be passed on its first reading. Yotion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spoonts ard Prothro. Mayor Protem Eddleman asked to be recorded as voting yea. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Prothro that on account of B. J. DeGraff being disqualified as a voter in the election to be held on March 14th, J. B. Scarborough be appointed to act as Judge at the election box to be located at House No. 600 North Broadway; and on account of G. D. Anderson being unwilling to serve, I. A. Farris be appointed Presiding Judge at the Court House Box. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that on account of Ira L. Cain being unable to serve in the election to be held on March 14th that J. IV. Nicholson be appointed as Presiding Judge and W. R. Irvin be appointed as a clerk to serve at the South Side Baptist Church Annex. motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Moved by Alderman Prothro that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for ambulance service for one year beginning March 3rd, 1931, and ending March 3rd, 1932. Said bids to be received at the office of the City Clerk until 7:30 P. M. March 2nd, 1931. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman Prothro that the meeting be adjourned.
